Spanish Tenses: The Future

THE FUTURE – EL FUTURO

There are two basic forms of the future in Spanish, and both can be used in any situation.

This tense, EL FUTURO, is used when you say sentences such as…

I will stay at home.

Permaneceré en casa.

You will work here.

trabajarás aquí.

She is going to need my help.

Necesitará mi ayuda.

We are going to eat out .

Cenaremos afuera.

He will talk to you soon.

El hablará contigo mañana.

How to formEL FUTURO in 2 easy steps

The future is one of the simplest Spanish tenses. The three infinitive form add the same endings.

1 Take the verb in the infinitive form… trabajar comer partir
2 Add the present form ending…

(this ending varies depending on the person)

Yo trabajaré comeré partiré
trabajarás comerás partirás
Usted – Él – Ella trabajará comerá partirá
Nosotros trabajaremos comeremos partiremos
Vosotros trabajaréis comeréis partiréis
Ustedes trabajarán comerán partirán
Ellos trabajarán comerán partirán

Now it is your turn!

    Hei. Would be great if you put irregular verbs too.
    caber    | cabr- |
    decir     | dir-     |
    haber   | habr-  |
    hacer   | har-    |
    poder  | podr-  |
    poner  | pondr-|
    querer | querr- |
     
    you take the terminations and put after base.
    and i saw a   " -s "  at caminar for el/ella/usted, and i though that we have to put just " -a "
    THX and i wait prepositions :D BYE.
